I should like yo change my shower head to a trigger one. Can any one recommend a particular brand?

Many thanks

Just do what most of us have done, buy an in line stop/start button, remove existing shower head from hose, screw on in line stop/start then replace your shower head...job done, all for a few quid.
Here you go!

I couldn't get on with one of those - dunno why, just was too fiddly I guess - picked up a trigger showerhead from a camping store, sorry no idea of brand - and am much happier... let go and the water stops.

Thats OK until you wash your hair, dont know why but I feel the need to use both hands to wash my barnet, good old scrub using all 10 fingers, would be strange with only one hand with the other holding the trigger, but I guess you get used to it.
Come to think of it there's other regions i need two hands for as well:whistle::D

I love my trigger shower head .. @pappajohn told me the make. I can't remember.

It is so versatile and it stretches to the sink should I need to.

Ten fingers? I’ve only got eight. Must be very difficult to buy gloves to fit!

The trigger can be locked in place so you don’t have to hold it down all the time.

We bought one of these for our last Motorhome as the on/off tap was outside the shower curtain so was a bit of a faf. Havent fitted it to the current van as can reach the control easier. Must admit we used a lot less water when it was fitted.

Our motorhome came with a trigger shower head which we changed for a cheap, plastic, domestic one as soon as possible as Mrs Maison found the same problem as yourself.

She also found that operating the trigger with soapy hands virtually impossible.

what water system i dont think you can use a trigger on a microswitched system on ours if you open the mixer but dont open the head the pump is running without anywhere to go

I was trying to work out that one! Saved my thinking time!

That's why we didn't go down the trigger head route years ago Steve, as the pump would be constantly running and putting a strain on it. :( The caravan on the other hand was a pressure switch system. The downside of that was, that if there was a minuscule drop in pressure, it would operate the pump for a few seconds, thus setting off the alarm when we were out.

Cheers,

Jock. :)

What was known as a "Navy Shower", Water saving was paramount when it was all carried in tanks and no way of making it!. That was in the days before Vacuum Distillers, from then I could make 10t a day from seawater. Using engine cooling water as the heat source.
