Impressed by SWMBO this weekend after cooking scrambled egg and leaving the dreaded burnt bits at the bottom of the pan...

Before you shout - should have tried omelette instead - here are 2 brilliant ways to easily remove burnt bits from pan:-
1. Put pan in freezer for a day - burnt bits easily come away....
2. remove as best as possible and place dishwasher tab in warm water in pan for half hour.... bits can the be easily removed.

Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
Another way is to scrape off with the edge of a credit card...dont ask me how I know...

Ah, so that must be why I never see any scrambled egg around the card slots on ATM's. (y)

Can’t abide scrambled eggs! Fried, poached, boiled, okay. Scrambled? an abomination. But thanks for the tip. 🙂👍

The RAF had proper eggs I'm sure, the Navy and the Army, I doubt it. There were no eggs in the scrambled egg, they made it with scrambled egg powder! It sliced nicely.
Had scrambled eggs & smoked salmon on a P&O ferry the scrambled eggs were make either from powder or the liquid stuff a lot of cafes use. Sent them back asked from some made with real eggs, got a blank expression so I asked for poached eggs, hopefully they couldn't get them out of a packet.

Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, then using a flat ended wooden spatula scrape off the stuck on egg. Comes off really easy every time!

Caustic soda, works on any burnt on food. Wear gloves as it will also remove skin. I have a large Ikea tub that I half fill with water and caustic soda then leave baking trays, oven racks etc overnight. Quick hose off and the job is done. May remove some non-stic coatings though.

Dried Eggs are real Eggs.....the disadvantage of Dried egg is they do loose the 'Fresh' flavour of Fresh eggs, other than that they are the real thing and can be stored for years unrefrigerated.
