Hi All.
New to the forum so apologies if I'm in the wrong place.
We picked up a 2008 Burstner Travel Van t570 just before Covid. We've had a few problems but nothing more than expected so we're generally v happy with our "little" van and enjoying motorhome life.
We took it for its MOT the other day. It passed which is always nice! but it came back with an advisory saying the upper stop lamp isn't working. We hadn't noticed! The chap was quite good about it!, saying its just a bulb and instead of paying for their time to change it I could change it myself for a few pence. Great I thought, until I got home and after a little investigation realised it's a sealed unit, with no bulbs to change. Wondering if it's the unit or supply I've done a bit of poking around with a multimeter and fairly sure there's no power getting to the light unit. The wiring from the light comes into the motorhome (behind a padded panel next to the bed) where its connected to the supply cable which goes back into the rear panel and heads off to who knows where!
So I'm wondering if anyone might know where this wire goes to/comes out and what it's connected to. I've had a look underneath at the rear light wiring and can't make too much sense of it to be honest. Can't see a wire similar in colour and size as the one that disappears up top. The wiring diagrams in the owners manual don't mention a high level light anywhere that I can see so not much help
Before we book it in somewhere (not sure where yet) we're wondering if someone has any experience or knowledge they could share about this. it would be much appreciated.
I should say it's not one of the burstner logo type lights, it's just a straight hella unit
Many thanks
Chris & Chris
