Those of you who are travelling in Spain - how did you show your “location” during your tour?

Since we will be touring without set plans we have little idea of where we will be.

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why show your location; for what purpose and whom will consume this information? Thanks!

Because the Spanish Government’s form (COVID precautions) that allows entry requires you to state where you will be. It is their version of the U.K. Passenger Locator Form that must be filled in before arriving back in the U.K. Designed to be able to keep a track on potential carriers of COVID.

On returning to the U.K. it is straightforward, we will be at home. In Spain we will touring without a set plan.

Aah, thanks! Didn’t do one of these as we travelled through France.

We used a campsite address but others that where freedom camping put the address of the port they berthed at.

We are still in Spain and haven't done a thing ! 🙁

This is from the Port’s own website.
I can’t remember whether it is the one we used. I may be mistaken but I do think that there was a box on the form for the port which you tick.
Obviously only valid if you ship in:

Autoridad Portuaria de Santander.

• c/ Muelles de Maliaño s/n

• 39.009 Santander (Cantabria - España)

• T: (34) 942 20 36 00

• F: (34) 942 20 36 33

• e-mail: info@puertosantander.es

There are a quite a few videos on filling in the form:

Has anyone filled in the form recently? Wondering about uploading NHS Vacc Certificate. Has anyone successfully uploaded a pdf file? Did you select EU Equivalent?

Or is it better to select “Other” and fill in the details manually? Any issues getting the QR Code? Thanks

For location you only have to put town and province as mandatory answer, so I put where I was going first. For NHS Vacc I put EU Equivalent.

kernewek. Did you upload a pdf successfully?

Not sure about the maritime version but the flight option does not require a specific address, just the region you will be visiting. The finished printout does not have any addresses on it just arrival details and bar code. We flew to Canaries this week, only filled in the region we were visiting. Bar code scanned at airport just after passport control and not asked for it again.

Getting very frustrated with this form, presently at Oxford CCC travelling down to Portsmouth for tomorrow nights ferry to Santander, it will not allow me to access the form itself keeps flagging up I can only complete it 48 hours before arrival in Spain. Ferry is the two nighter as it does the crew change, all very frustrating and making me very twitchy. Anyone have a work around. 😡😡😡

Get there in good time and go to the check in where the ladies will sort it out for you, even print off what's necessary if required 👍

Ripped from my post in November.
"
It gives me no pleasure in posting this but, having spent 3hrs trying to fill the above Form online this morning, I had to surrender and go to the ferry terminal and seek help from the brilliant BF staff.

To put this in context. I was a professional Form filler outer for 30yrs and I do not accept defeat easily but this one was a Lulu.
Example: Sex: Male? No. What else could I put.
Next mobile phone, In no particular order, it would not accept 078**** or 78******,or 004478****' or +4478**'''* oh! and there were two boxes for a mob. Never got to the second one!
Country? It wouldn't accept UK, GB, Great Britain, United Kingdom
The way one puts in the dob was interesting. Year hyphen month hyphen date.
Look, I'm not saying I'm perfect but I wasn't the only one at the terminal seeking advice.

As this Form is necessary for getting on the boat might I humbly suggest that you give yourself a lot of time prior to sailing. Do NOT assume you can turn up at the terminal and fill in that Form after arrival there.
The BF man said doing it on a laptop is easier but you will need to print the QR code out (wouldn't you?)"

Hope this helps.

As we're travelling next month I thought I take a look. Downloaded the app to my phone to take a look and couldn't get past the third box. Keeps telling me my email address is invalid. It's the only email address I've got and had it about twenty years. Any ideas anyone?

Emmit did you do individual forms I am trying to do a group one for me and the missus?

You will be able to do it in the morning and it won’t take long, just have the information ready such as passport numbers and an address to put in even if it’s the port.

I had tried to do it as an individual and I can't swear to it but I think the BF staff did me and Mrs Emmit as a family.
Anecdotal evidence recently would suggest that the glitches formally found have been ironed out.
If all fails, give yourself time to get down to the ferry terminal.

Been trying for three days now...Had a couple of replies with code nos hours later when they have expired and won't work...Hoping its abolished or improved before I travel on 27 th or will be changing ferry to France..BUSBY.

It wouldn’t accept my hotmail account so I opened a gmail one and that worked
