Just started!
So we purchased a Smart Car with braked towing fitted and an 'A'-frame too.

How does towing this car affect the payload rating for the motorhome?

Depends on how much A Frame weight is on the tow bar. It is shared between the car and the towing vehicle. Also, the tow bar itself.
You also need to look at the Gross Train Weight.

Essentially, it doesn’t adversely affect it (other than the nose weight of the A-frame).

It may even be advantageous in that you may be able to load the car with stuff you’d normally carry in the MH. However, you do need to mindful of the GTW (Gross Train Weight, i.e. the combined weight of the MH + Car).

Thanks all :)

What can I expect to lose in MPG while towing a Smart Car? 2.8Tdi Fiat Ducato

I tow a Kia Rio 3 and mpg drops around 2mpg.
