We have a Hymer b588dl and I’m thinking of having a towbar fitted to it but they do tend to spoil the looks of the rear end, ahem, although some towbars seem to be less obtrusive ( ugly) than others.
Has anyone with a Hymer had a towbar fitted by Mike Parkinson, Lancashire Towbars, what are their thoughts on his towbars looks.......maybe some pics?

We had a towbar fitted as it had to be type approved but I had some stainless tubes put on to make a bumper and I think it looks ok.

WE never tow despite having a tow-bar on the van. But it makes a bloody good bumper bar if you, ahem, misjudge your reversing.....................!

Ours is a Towtal, painted white and blends in well. Those chromed bars look the DB's.

Getting the bar fitted came to £750 as the chassis’s extensions were factory fit it was a straight bolt on with corner bracing,
I had the stainless bumpers fabricated at my local stainless steel fab shop all fitted on original fixing points so has no effect on type approval cost around £550.

We used Mike Parkinson, excellent job. Looked really neat and smart. Very professional and helpful guy.

Haven’t got the van with me so no pics at the moment,we had ours done by Watling in St.Albans, cracking job and conforms think it was £1200ish.

I sent photos of the chassis and underneath area of the motorhome. I think he gave me a quote from that , it was about 6 years ago but I'm sure it only cost me around 300 quid.
