We just bought a little Toyota Aygo that's already been adapted for being towed via a Caratow frame, my best quote for insurance is coming out at £385 fully comp for the year, can anyone point me in the direction of company that might be able to better that quote please, I wasn't sure if that seems a little high?

Thanks in advance.

Is this an additional car to you with no NCD applied ( ie have you now got 1 driver with 2 cars, or 2 with 3)?

Hi, that's based on 10 years no claims, and 3 other vehicles insured with the same company, insured for me and the misses to drive. That was with them shadowing my NCD.

I am at about £245 same car with L&V of course insurance always varies on post code and driver history
I found multi car policies dearer than separate
You may be aware or not, That your little car is not going to covered fully comp whilst its being towed. MoHo policy has it covered 3rd party under what they call a trailer section
to their max trailer value.
Cars fully comp in force only when parked or driven
you may have a different view so check it out when getting quotes

I concur with all that Geo says
Clarify with insurer if they “embrace” the toad concept, maybe approach moho insurer for a quote

Thanks Geo, no I didn't know it would only be covered 3rd party if towed by a motorhome, the misses wanted a tidy little run around so when I see this one I thought great we can tow it on occasions too if we wanted, it was more a added bonus that it was adapted I guess. I will give L&V a try, thank you.
