Hi i am thinking of buying a towcar for behind MH ,I have looked at the fiat punto and the Panda.

the car also needs tow my sons pod caravan (about 450Kg) has any one used these cars to tow with as well as behind MH or could you make any suggestions.

MH is 130hp fiat.
Thanks

I have a Panda as a toad and use it to tow a small trailer, don't know what its towing weight limit is.
Sure a google search would tell you.

Hi Musson,
Fiat Punto towing limit, max Unbraked 400kg all models, dependant on model max Braked ranges between 900kg and 1000kg

Fiat Panda (1368cc 100bhp 16v 5 door) is max Unbraked 400kg, and Max Braked of 800kg.

Both of which I've seen been Toad.

There are various options out there, I've got a Daewoo matiz on a Unibrake system, and am quite happy with it.

Hope its of some help.

We have a Peugeot 107 toad (fantastic little car) however, I think the weight of a tow ball and electric socket would be it's limits, not too sure of it's towing capacity to be honest, but great toad for sure.

Trikeman. ;)

A 107 has no towing capability. It is illegal to fit a towbar.

Quite a few smaller vehicles have no legal towing weight. Easy to check.Look at chassis plate & it should give a "braked" & " unbraked" weight . If it doesn't or says N/A then it cannot be legally fitted with one.
