If anyone has fitted a Fiamma wind out awning to a Ducato or similar, is there a necessity to use a Sika primer before applying Sikaflex 252 to he support brackets and bodywork?

Boy is that stuff expensive!

If you are fitting it to a panel van then you don’t need either as the brackets bolt to the existing roof fixings.

Thanks for the reply. It is true that th brackets fit to the roof using existing mounting points, but the fitting instruction call for Sikaflex 252 on the lower part of the bracket where it meets the bodywork.

I don’t remember seeing that in the instructions when I fitted mine 10 years ago, mine are just bolted on.
