The general view for cars it is prudent to change pump at same time as belt, however , for Ducatos this is not the case the original pumps are expected to last at least 200,000 to 250,000 miles. (typical in lease hire firms) and it is normal not to replace the pump, inspect yes. The additional work to change pump is not trivial. Change All belts and bolts not always in kits. It'll be a belt. Needs changing at 5 years. so as Nicholsong says, Now. You might want to change the water pump at the same time. The water pump is part of the cam belt cover. Most people's veiw is whilts your in there you might as well do the pump as well as the belt.
If you read the line about the timing belt in the table it states 96 months, the * refers to vehicles used in cold/demanding climates when 4 years is recommended but at least every 5 years. Thus the question is does the type of use most MHs have come under * or the table?
That's a bit steep! Should be around £500, unless it's an A-Class when most garages want to charge more as it's a bit of a game getting access. Thanks for your reply’s, I have got it booked in to get the belt and water pump changed, quotation’s are around £1000.
