Heard this mentioned the other day on a thread and just wanted to let you know it works!
Attached some before and after pics for you but for £8 if I have to do it a couple of times a year I’m impressed

+1 for the autoglym, I was using vaseline for ages but gets a bit sticky....

Flaming them is not something Ive tried but heard about a lot

Love the stuff, brilliant on window surrounds, mirror arms, rubber around windscreen, in fact any plastics or rubber on a vehicle 👍🏻

Presumably, easy to apply?

Assume just put some on cloth, wipe on plastic and perhaps buff off surplus?
No buffing. Wipe on and walk away with a smug grin 😁
Well, that’s what I did anyway!
And as PP Bear said it works on any trim so I’ve been all around the van now. Even my plastic mud flaps got a dose.

Easiest stuff in the world to use. Clear liquid gel, cloth, rub, wipe away any excess if needed.

Cant recommend it highly enough, as Pennee said above ☝🏻 👍🏻

Sounds as though I'd better get some! 😃👍

Cowboys at work, back street car dealers do similar with a heat gun. It lasts a few months and then looks worse than before and almost impossible to restore after that treatment.

Trouble with all these back black type products is they only last a couple of months.
Why spend all that money when olive oil works just as well.
Didn’t realise it did the same! That’s next on the shopping list, thank you 😊

Tried the oil malarkey and great for dunking and cooking chips in, but I find it stays sticky and gets all sorts (except liquorish) on it.

Think that’s why they don’t make Auto-Glym olive oil 🫒 and have you seen the prices of the stuff, I’ll stick wiv me liquid gel anytime 🤭👍🏻

Used to use autoglym on my Discovery bumpers... initial thoughts were whoa that is good stuff....BUT as Lenny HB stated above it was short lived... required doing again in about 6wks.

This is actually different than the black yuk, might be worth a try if you ask for a bottle for Christmas 🎅🏼

Stock up om olive oil now. It'll probably double or triple in price over the next few months!!

Its a ten minute job to do whole van. No big deal to do every six weeks if required.
Do ours twice over the summer.

Poorboy's Trim restorer... Applied 2 weeks ago.... And after last night's rain... Lasts about 3 months or longer if dry... I use a paint brush ( it's a clear liquid that smells of coconut) let it "dry" then wipe the excess off after rubbing it into the plastic with an old towel....

Have tried this on other plastic parts, yes it worked for me but very great care is needed. Plastics melt at these high temperatures.

Oops wrong comment, I was referring to the blowtorch bit

The autoglym is currently on an Amazon prime day offer, £10.25

I use autoglym Vinyl and rubber and that restores stuff very well. Put some on my faded bike top box a few weeks ago and it's still like new. Also great on tyre walls 👌
