New to ownership.
Does anyone know how the Thule Omnistor awning brackets are secured to the aluminum extrusion of the Carthago A-classes (C-tourer)?

I was told that the brackets are fixed with sikaflex, no fixings/screws. I would have thought if multiple brackets, must be screwed and bonded but if one continuous tail the length off awning, maybe the bracket is merely bonded.

Thanks in advance.

I am not 100% sure but mine is having one fitted in a few weeks. They do need it all day though even though due to curing time suggesting it may be just bonded? I am getting it fitted by a dealer to preserve warranty incase it did have any screws.
The Thule image shows screws so we will see…

We have a Hymer and ours has a full length strip bolted through, 5 nuts visible in lockers and behind trim

Having taken our 5.5m awning off last year it must weigh close to 50kg I could hardly move it once on the ground , no way would I trust that without bolting through

The awning is hooked over the aluminium extrusion and held in position with two M10 bolts!
We had our fabric replaced at the factory a couple of years ago.

rb62 Can you shed some light on the fabric replacement, was it warranty for you having to go back to Germany, if not do you mind if I asked how much it was?

It was on our second hand van that we had from Go European, the glued seam by the roller started coming apart!
After the workshop manager said it was warranty they agreed to replace it,even though it was a six year old van,it but it would be eight weeks! so as we were going on holiday we said give us the money and we'll go to the factory 👍
At the time,Sept 2022 it cost £615 for the fabric but the mechanic there is always very generous and striped it down and replaced other bits he thought needed replacing 👍

That’s very interesting. Do you mean the Thule factory? Thanks.
