Anyone heard of THROTTLE OVERIDE SYSTEM ON 2019 fiat Ducato

and is it a retrofit options for an X250? The wife keeps trying to throttle me!

No, but it sounds like it disables the link between the pedal position potentiometer from the ECU.
Maybe useful if stuck on wet grass or snow to prevent spinning at higher revs.

Dropped your question into Google and some stuff came up not sure if it is relevant but interesting reading. About autoboxes shutting down when touching throttle and brake together. I only ever did that on race circuits???

quite a few vehicles will disable throttle if you use brake and throttle at the same time, had it happen to me when bedding in some new pads, usually will sort itself out after a couple of seconds or you might need to stop and restart

I had it happen to me twice where it just died as I was pulling off from roundabout
As far as I’m aware I didn’t intentionally touch brake when accelerating
