Thread display change

Hello All,
Can any one of you clever people tell me what I have done (numpty alert !!)....I no longer see the whole thread on any topic...only the last post...what have I done ? & how can I get it back the way it was??

Have you changed the display mode? If you have, change it back to "linear"

When you open a thread the display mode is at the top of the thread on the right.
