I'm a newbie
Our van has been parked on the drive for a couple of weeks since our last trip and yesterday the wife says "Why is the bathroom window flapping" My first thought was someone has tried a forced entry but on closer inspection I discovered it was just the outer skin of the double glazed window that was moving. When I unlocked the window the inner skin that was completely detached would have fell out the frame had it not been for the sliding arms holding it. A previous owner had attempted a repair using mastic to seal the two halves together which only adhered to one surface but came away as clean as a whistle from the other. What ever bonding method the manufacturer used obviously failed at some point down the road, hence the unsuccessful repair. So now its my turn to fix it, any ideas bearing in mind the two plastic skins will probably expand and contract at different rates.

Get the proper window bonding stuff that they put windscreens in with.
Sorry can't help with a name but motor factors will have it.

Burstner did a recall about 7 years ago and sent an engineer to fix the outer skin to the inner using 2 plastic fixings per window.

My van was 8 years old at the time - impressive service by Burstner and FOC

As the windows were not just used by Burstner (might have been Seitz) there must be many out there...

I think it was Polyplastic windows that had the problems.

Epoxy resin adhesive.

Fixed the window just before the rain set in using a very sticky double sided tape costing £1-80p from ebay.
For now the jobs a goodun, its well and truly stuck but I'll let you know if it falls apart and what plan B will be
