Thetford N3145 not cooling on gas problem

Hi All
I'm trying to work out the cooling problem with my fridge its working fine on 240 not sure on 12v as I haven't been on a run.
when on gas it lights and just burns away with no cooling should the burner come in and out or constantly burn?
The flame seems to be at a consistent level should this be a variable flame?

Our Dometic fridge played up once on gas, the flame was a nice shade of blue, but it wasn't "roaring" like it normally did (usually you can hear the ignitor clicking a few times, then a bit of a muffled "pop" then a nice steady roar, if you're anywhere near the fridge vent)
Turned out the burner jet needed a blow through and it was fine after that.
