Just watched Andrew Dittons (rather long winded and drawn out) review on the Thetford INDUS. Seems that Thetford have taken a simple and trouble free (cassette) process and turned it into an overly complicated one that looks more trouble than its worth

4 minutes and 20 seconds to empty. Don’t think you will be too popular on a CAMC site also will they let you use this system on the drive over grates as that pipe will not reach most sites black waste toilet drops.

Will this new system encourage the "wives" to roll their sleeves up & get involved?, cant see it happening in most cases somehow.:giggle:
But any solution to having more black storage, less frequent emptying, can only be a good thing, carrying two cassettes only gives a slightly longer period before the panic sets in whilst wilding & Touring.
The other neg with the Indus system is having to buy & carry all the new "Indus" related flushing chemicals, the existing Blue, Pink & Green are dear enough after all.
Having a bathroom door handle come off mitigates the need for frequent Black dumps, so did he do as The Bears do?:giggle:

I’m sure many will like this as it has an “app”, can probably connected to the internet and Alexa, and cause many hours of fiddling/question asking.

I think I will keep it simple and old school. It is camping after all.

On 2 temp hol sites this summer, both cases grey water either dribbled or in hedge, black into septic tank.
Even if they sort the chemicals to suit septic tanks most sites do not want grey water in them as well as black. As I understood it the indus system can only empty both black and grey together.

And not a bio system, which is strange for these new planet saving days.

Grey into black is the way to go but no need for chemicals unless environmentally friendly. I wonder what happens if you can't reach to dump? Can you extend the hose or can you empty it into a bucket or container and start and stop it if its full.

Seems to be a few things they haven't really thought through yet and their main commercial object is to tie you in to buying their 'stuff' so as to create a continuous revenue stream (pardon the pun) - then, just like the print cartridge people their will be knock - offs which may or may not work as well or Thetford may even do an HP and stop you using third party all together.

No doubt will sell well to new owners so motorhome dealers will like it

That's a wasted 30 minutes I will never get back.

With 2 of us we will never get anything like the suggested time periods between emptying. In reality when off grid we find the crucial time scale is the fresh water. The black water used to also be a problem but we solved that by spending £90 on a spare cassette. And the system we use for cleaning the grey tank and cassettes (Bio washing capsules) is much more environmentally friendly and a bloody sight cheaper.
