Been away this Easter and fridge freezer seems to have a problem .

It runs gets to temperature then cuts out but it only stays off for a short period before reigniting, then it stays on for about 20 minutes or more before cutting out again.

Its only been on number 2

I would have thought it would only come on for about 5 minutes each time it ignites.

It has used a lot of gas compared to the 420g per day that thetford state

Turn it up to 3 about 5 o’clock, also put a large freezer block in the bottom.
This seems to be the best setting for these fridges.

They usually do that when you put something warm in them (Or unchilled)

Are the door seals OK? Heat must be getting to the thermostat or thermistor to switch it back on quickly. Unless the stat is faulty. Is it an electronic controller? Is the differential adjustable (sometimes called hysteresis) it's the difference between switch on and switch off temperature.

How do you mean adjustable ,something I can change, I've cleaned out burner.

On some electronic controllers the differential is adjustable.. if it's set at say 1°c or even less the fridge will switch on and off much more frequently, so it's worth checking. 3°c is OK.

Seen this before on a fridge which had a heater in the door , tiny little switch on the door frame had accidentally been turned on.

Yes turn off the fridge door heater uses loads of power as it’s on all the time running off your battery.
If you have to have it on, only use when on ehu.
Your home fridge has one on all the time.
