For four hours today I have been firing up the racing mopeds !
We have 5 good 'uns and one that is gonna need some more work to get it going..
But I will be running the races with four contestants at a time.

If any one wants to put their name down on a entry list you can do.. We had a few disappointing faces last year with folk missing out

We would love to have ago . But I have a problem with my engine . I have been told it is my head gasket . Or some thing even worse . Waiting for my son to have a look at the weekend . If he can not fix . Have you got a spare engine @Jaws . Or does any body know some one who could fix it .

Is it a Fiat chassis ? If so what year?
What is wrong with your one? Does it run at all ??

Thanks @Jaws. It is 1990 Talbot express . The same as the Fiat or citron . 2ltr petrol . And yes it does run it got to P/boro and back and to the MOT and back. But it is losing water and overheats very quickly . And some times I get a little bit of white on the dipstick. My garage does not want to know. They said it could be a complete rebuild.

Get a garage to put a sniffer in the header tank.
That will give a bit of a pointer whats up.
Does sound like a HG but why would it need a complete engine rebuild is beyond me.

Also undo the oil filler cap how much soya is in there

Its just the head gasket.. My local Russian mechanic would charge about £120 to£200 inc parts.
I am away first thing and not back until Tuesday but I will get a quote for you..
You could get here in small stages taking it easy and the job will take less than a day

Just a thought.
Is the thermostat easy to get to? If so you can always remove that and run with the heater matrix on hot in the cab.
Allows you to drive steadily to places.
Be careful if you have an Ali head though.

Thanks @Jaws . I will let my son do his tests on it this weekend, and take up your offer . It is a lot better than the price of £2000 . That some one quoted at me. And thank you @Silver-Fox . I do not believe it has a ali head . So I will be very careful
