We’re a couple of newbies 😊
Newbies starting off and needing guidance
this has probably been asked a thousand times
sorry still don't know how to search the site

external or internal screens ?? we are planning to do a hybrid of wild camping and also listed campsite stops

again any thoughts appreciated and there are no wrong answers !!

External every time for us.

We use a TayorMade, second hand external screen covers come up quite often on the classifieds and eBay.

Site external, wild camping internal if you need to move quickly.

Got external, amazing how much condensation this avoids.
Added benefit is its long enough to cover the windscreen scuttle and the vents on the bonnet so stops excess rainwater getting in the engine bay

Polar screens, external, no condensation and they do keep the heat off when it’s too warm outside as well as retaining heat in winter.

Both.
Internal for cost and convenient curtains. Exterior when it gets really cold and stop condensation on the windows

External. Very pleased with ours from Minster.

External. We opted for Silverscreens, but Taylormade, Polar and quite a few others come highly recommended.

External for my vote too.
As for searching this site, you will have to pay your subs to be able to do that. A bargain at £15 a year for the advice you will get 😀

Reckon you need both.
Internal , lightweight, easy storage, and quick to take down if you are wild camping and need to move quickly.
poor in the cold, or chilly evening as have condensation in the morning.

External. Just the opposites!

When wild camping, we tend to leave cab set up ready to move (don’t park so you have to reverse) and then just hang a curtain across separating the cab from the rear.
We have never taken thermal screen covers away as we don’t have the storage space, Have never found condensation, always keep roof vent cracked open in hab area and washroom.

Thanks team really appreciate your input
Going to stick with the fitted internals for the summer and review it later in the year
One less expense for now 😊
Keeping the roof vent open at night - sensible 👍
