The weather is winning, we're going home

FWIW
We are in Dorres just a few miles E of Andorra at present, having travelled from Perpignan two days ago. It’s been mostly grey and dry with the odd burst of sunshine, but there has been little rain.

Yesterday we were even basking in the outdoor Roman hot baths here, listening to cuckoos whilst looking at the snow capped Pyrenees.

So not all doom and gloom here.
Was you in the sloping aire at dorres

Yes, they do slope, but not many vehicles here so was able to get it pretty level at the top of the car park. The water taps were a first for me, something out of the last century!

Last night we stayed on a site by a canal in Saint Armad-Montrond, the weather is a little better, so we have decided to stay another night, and have a walk along the canal. It will give us a break from driving for a day. It's an ASCI site costing 16.90€ a night including a charge for the second dog.

Since deciding to go home, the weather has got better. We are in Fontainebleau, it's 21 Deg and we have just had a walk along the Seine. Almost thinking of changing our minds. Calais tomorrow probably 2 or 3 days. We will spend a day in Boulogne, I love the old town, then we need a vet for the dogs. After that we will decide.

Reasonable in Spain if the right location is chosen....France.,..always thought May was a tad early...🤔
Agreed. Catalonia has been pretty rubbish last couple of weeks. Moved down to Murcia currently and always pretty reliable 👍

It sure is...but although our base is there, we spend very little time at home..lots of Spain has been hit by very unseasonal weather types...very nice today in Villanueva de Los Infantes...in the La Mancha region..

We've been in the Ardennes and Alsace, with generally ok or good weather, but looking at forecasts headed for the south coast. Currently sat in the mh at Marseillian plage listening to the rain, forecast to be better tomorrow. We have to head home next week and it looks like the middle of France will be wet.

Had 2 good months in Spain but now on France, we planned 3 to 4 weeks getting to Calais but the forecast is rain followed by rain. We're still talking it slowly have to find a vet for rabies injections and worming, but apart from that asap😥
You'll probably get back just as the superb weather in the UK changes 😉

We're going in the opposite direction, we were going to stop at Clermont-Ferrand tomorrow but the rain means we're going straight past now to Millau. Even there it's forecast showers and sunny spells... Roll on Spain 🇪🇸😁☀️
We have been travelling down the Spanish coast from Roses to Peniscola. Weather been very changeable, lots of thunder storms and heavy rain showers interspersed with beautiful days. Good at the mo, rain and thunder forecast later. 👍

And to add insult to injury, at home …

We went to Boulogne today, walked around the town walls, had a good lunch in one of the restaurant in the main street. A good day 25 deg, I beginning to wish we had stayed in the south of France a bit longer

Couldn’t agree more… This is now two late April/May’s in France that have been, or are forecast to be, a complete washout (bar a couple of days) for us. Wish the jet stream was following its usual course so we could get the standard nice French Spring weather! ☹️
Should've stayed in Spain :gum:

We’re just a bit in front of you, we’re now at Finestrat just outside Benidorm after spending 9nights at Diamus and apart from a little light showers at night we’ve had no rain, the forecast has said a few times there was chance of rain but nothing.

Gorgeous here in Scotland. Foggy this morning but soon burnt off. A couple of drops of rain as we left the hospital (just my regular blood test) now blue sky again. My factor 100 sun block arrived earlier so the weather is now bound to change.

We arrived in Benidorm at about 3.15pm today ☺️👌
