I like most sports but was of the opinion that cricket was boring....but not today !!
Mind you I only watched it on catch-up once I knew we'd won . Well done lads :clap2:

Proper edge of the seat stuff !!! Nail biting right to the end

Agree Lenny watched One match B&Hove at Goldstone ground when I was about 8 never watched another match since. I’ll be 72 in a months time.

I slept through a match at the Goldstone, been in the pub all lunchtime and they sold beer in the ground fell asleep on the terraces. That was probably 1972.

Lewis, now record breaking 6 UK F1 GPs ahead of Jim Clark & someone else with 5 !

Cracking race, plenty of incidents, and Le Clerk was driver of the day with some outstanding moves on Verstappen.

Still not a patch on BTCC though...

And Lewis got fastest lap on a set of worn out hard tyres, the lads a genius in my opinion :)

Couldn't agree more, last lap on hards, 30 laps in, and Bottass pitted 5-6 laps before the end and stuck on a set of used softs, clocked the fastest lap a couple of laps later, then Lewis blew him out of the water !

I'm not a Lewis fan, but I admire him hugely.

It was a fantastic result,I’ve never seen a match like it. I’ve never been a fan of test match cricket, but one day cricket were you get a result on the day is a great spectacle ?

I do agree with your comment, totally.

I'm not a cricket fan at all, but it was very exciting, enough for me to watch the last few overs...

...however I do have a major issue with world class sports stars behaving badly in society and getting away with it...

Stokes, Maradona, Gascoigne, Best, Folau...???

So glad my dad introduced me to cricket in the late 50's early 60's. Have loved it ever since. Sure you need to invest a lot of viewing time but when you have an ending like that....!!!

About 20 of used to meet up at most of B&H Albion home matches from about 1960 when they were in the Third Division South. We always stood at the halfway line on the Chicken Run terrace and go to the pub afterwards. It was a sort of social habit rather than fanatical support. I stopped going when all seating was introduced (and Saturday family commitments took over).

Ha ha, I did the same. Didn't get home from the night before until 5 or 6am, my mate came round at 10 to walk to the station armed with 8 tinnies, in the pub for 3 pints before the game, what made it even funnier, my boss at the time was at the other end of the ground and saw everyone leap up to celebrate a goal (i was in the away end) except for one rather sleepy individual that turned out to be me! Brighton v Rotherham, can't remember the year.

Missed a lot of it as was being entertained by Stagman but Cat kept me updated with the score. Then when I thought that we had lost, got back to the van found it was the extra over. Talk about tense. And lucky...... Fell a bit sorry for the Kiwis (unlike if it had been the Aussies) but luck turns both ways. Great advert for 50 over cricket, such a shame that the ECB are hell bent of destroying it.

And a good word to SKY ( never thought I would BTW), who paid their money for sole rights, but made it available to all

Me head hurts after trying to keep up with cricket and Wimbledon. And it appears that Stokes's overthrow 6 was only 5. Then that umpire got a few decisions wrong including Roy's wicket in the semi. Swings and roundabouts.

Had to do it with help of 2 South Africans + couple of Kiwis , and some one from ROI and one from Barbados IIAC ? Be more accurate to call it British Cricket Team surely ?

One exciting extra over at the end, then cricket is the best game around? Most boring game I’ve ever played ??

Couple of Yorkies too. Bloody foreigners :)
