Let the raid begin. We set off yesterday at 10 am from Las Palmas to Cádiz, it's the same boat we used last year and nothing special. Still travelling as we speak, but getting closer, so hopefully only another hour to go.

Well we finally got off the boat and out of the port at 23:00, the customs and police were having a party stopping everyone to ask if they had anything to declare. Quite a few were pulled off to one side, so probably suspicious. We finally got through and drove to our night stop in San Fernando. It's only a huge carpark basically, but tomorrow we are visiting one of the grandchildren who lives here, so it'll do for one night. Tomorrow on to Jerez de la Frontera.

Safe travels :) Are you planning on ferry from France to Ireland or are you going to go up through England and across the Irish Sea? I'm thinking of a trip through bits of Ireland and then ferry to France, for a longer trip so I'd like to hear how good the crossing is.

We're driving up to Calais and through the tunnel to England, then the ferry from Fishguard to Rosslare.

Have a great trip, we stopped in the camper and van park in Jerez a few weeks ago. It's on the retail park, also handy for the town.

Have a lovely trip, we overnighted on the way to catch the ferry to Ireland at Tycroes rugby club . Off the ferry we did a stop over at Tacumshane behind the pub.

Must admit we had brilliant weather for our trip, the Irish kept saying it was unusual ::bigsmile:

We are staying the night here at

(11408) Área Parking Autocaravanas en Cádiz - CAMPER AND VAN

Which you can find on Park4Night.

A nice site that we have used before, secure and all the services for €15 a night. It is quite hot as we speak (28ºC so the air con is on full blast.

Tomorrow we continue on to Sevilla.

Up to Sevilla today, Puerto de Gelves - we love this place and there's a good restaurant too, so all good. €20 (off season) the night with all services included.

Carrilleras Ibéricas en salsa.

The wine was at room temperature, unfortunately that was 30ºC, so a bucket of ice was called for.

I envy you speaking Spanish. We never know what to order so don't eat out much and avoid anywhere that has a special English menu.

It looks great Barrie, what's the name of the site, and is it easy access off the motorway. We have to get back home to the Costa Blanca, cutting our trip short.
Thanks
