since 2006 ( I think ! )
And probably other versions too !
I decided to dump a mag mount dab antenna on the van until I have finished experimenting
From past experience I knew the easiest way to get the antenna cable across to the radio was simply bight the bullet and drop off the bottom half of the dash ( glove box and its surround )
This I did.. and am I glad I did !
Lifted the bonnet and started looking where I could get a cable through the bulk head..
Then I saw it.. Because the bottom of the dash was off and the passenger door was open, the inside of the bulk head was well lit.
I found a hole ( original, as it had nice Fiat edging on it ) about 2.5" x 1.5" right over on the left hand side close to the top ( looking from the bonnet side, top top behind the fuel filter )

I have NO idea what it is meant for, and there is no matching hole on the drivers side.. All that was run through it was a single wire !

I have never seen that particular hole mentioned before................

Hole duly blocked up... No doubt there are still loadsa gaps and holes around, but that, along with the stupid vent things under the seats, the vents actually in the sides of the doors, has dealt with the major ones ! ( I think :-) )

It is probably to let the air in for the heater!!
I found one on our mpv 6" x4" below the scuttle for the wipers with nothing over whatsoever just to allow air in to the fan. Had to seal it with mosquito netting as the mice were using it to make ahouse in the fan casing.:D2

What did you block/plug with?

It’s the vent near the hab door that annoys me (road noise and cold when parked). I’ve been told not to cover it by the dealer as it’s a gas leak vent.

Proly sop on.. but you could cover it while travelling
As it is still bloody chilly and I already did a few hours fitting some new CCTV cameras I just grabbed some cloth and stuck it in..
I will sort it out better when the warm weather comes !

Nope... its just a hole.
The heater inlet is easy to deal with.. just turn the dial to recirculating when parked ,....job done :-)

Of course, since I sussed this out, the wind has dropped to bugger all and it has warmed up !
Not complaining and hope I do not get to check the effectiveness until next winter :-)
