If you find time you could pop into the morning thread, there is always someone around and we are a supportive bunch. Best wishes to you both.

PLEASE DONT LEAVE, its worth paying your subs, just to read and chat to like minded people, i havent got a motorhome at moment, im mums primary carer ,she has dementia, shes had it 11 years, its nice to pick up the ipad and listen to others having a moan or an adventure, and yes i wish it was me jumpin in van and goin on road, but if ive had a trying day its nice to spend half hour on this forum reading about others do lol,so i think you shud stay, it wont stop you caring for your wife ,and im sure she wouldnt want you to lose a pleasurable pastime, also theres lots of people on here who can give good advice ,thats not just about motorhoming , best regards and good wishes pampam

Good luck for the future.

very sorry to read this David, have nursed family with dementia a few times now. Just make sure to take time for yourself, it is a draining journey and having something other than the daily routine does help your mental health as the family carer

All the best to you both from us.

Then please don't go then. :(

I know, as do many others on here, just how desperate it can become to look after relatives 24/7 with dementia.

I had mum and dad and was entirely alone through it. Without the forum at the times I needed to just read, write onthe forum I would have gone insane. In fact I may have done for a while.

You may be exhausted, confused over decisions that are difficult, but there is always someone who understands.

It doesn't have to be a regular visit to us.... but we are here if and when. As big map says, the Morning Thread is a pop in for you.

Big virtual hug. You may find you need them.

Take care David.. and all the best.... :hugs:

Sorry to hear your news but I can echo Andrea's post about popping into the Morning thread, there's always an ear there to listen if you want to offload. You don't need to leave us completely.

Sorry to hear that.

Best wishes for the future.
