Tesco club card & Eurotunnel

Hi all

Are you still able to use Tesco club card points for eurotunnel bookings?

I’ve moved work places and there’s a Tesco store next door.
If so, I’ve a few questions for the experienced out there:

How much do you have to spend in store to generate the points?
How many points equal club card £5 vouchers?
I’ve read that £5 worth of points gives £15 discount off a fare - is that still correct?
Can you collect from fuel/petrol station purchases?

I’m just wondering whether it’s worth my while changing where I shop.

I can’t answer all your questions but, as a long term user of Tesco points, the following is correct.


Each point is multiplied by 3 when converting to Tunnel tickets ie £15 of vouchers gets a £45 reduction in cost.

Fuel purchases count.

We always use Tesco for our shopping as our three nearest supermarkets where you can do a “complete” shop are Tesco.

We have saved an absolute fortune in Tunnel fees over the last 16 years.

If you have to travel to shop at Tesco, or if you have some ethical objection, then maybe look elsewhere. I know that some people consider Aldi/Lidl are much cheaper than Tesco so you can save towards your Tunnel costs that way. Not possible for us.

We don’t shop at Tesco but I use a Tesco credit card for all purchases even things like insurance. Over the year we get enough Clubcard points to have a free crossing.
