With the advent of the new French stickers, which I don't want permanently on my van, is there a method to apply them that would make them easier to remove when back in blighty. I think I remember hearing about something involving pre-treating the surface with something to make it less stickable.

Are there any vinyl type, that just peel off?
If not could a local sign writer print some?

Not that I'll be going to France, and if I was my moho is a PVC, so I'd be getting magnetic ones.

If you just take the backing off around the edge and leave a bit lump of ig in the middle they will still stick and should peel off easily

Most French websites say not required for vehicles not registered in France, only seen one that says they are. I'm not going to bother as they assume Motorhomes are 3.5t in France.
Will you pay the OP's fine?

I have bought magnetic ones for the front not quite figured out what to do at the rear yet 🤷‍♂️

Static cling should do the job on the back but make sure the panels clean and take a spare or two.

Magnetic on front will be fine

When I say front I mean front side 👍 I dont really intend to use them but it might save a fine if I have them and put them on if stopped but it might not😂

Artics do have blind spots when turning, A Class vans don't really have blind spots, with the bus mirrors you can see all down the side clearly.

Also only needed in Uban environments.

I've heard that a very small amount of vaseline smeared over the surface of the bodywork reduces the efficacy of the sticky surface of the decal.
I'm intending to that before I put on the >3.5t stickers and, before I do even that, I'm going to do a trial run with a spare piece of vinyl.

I have a Catalan flag that I can put on and peel off at will, hopefully they'll develop something similar for these signs.

Stick them on a thin piece of perspex. Or fit them in an old school tax disc holder if you have one or try ebay etc

That’s static cling, it won’t work so well on the side of a vehicle, but front and back should be fine

Sorry i had a blond moment I was thinking of the Critaire emissions stickers o_O

This says if vehicles are from any country,

to be fair Lenny HB was not telling or advising the OP not to have the signs.
just that he was not bothering and neither will I until i see different evidence that they are needed than i have seen so far. I am sure the OP will take whatever they want from that.

Bet Tam Northernraider hasn't got them for his mad dash though France... fingers crossed he doesn't get a fine to add to his tolls.
I dont have them and im not spending time looking for them ...i don't have a gb sticker either ..
Bloody french are getting right on my nits with all their stupid OTT crap. Only country in europe demanding PCR tests for entry aswell which is a pita for getting results ...the antigen one is 15 minutes for result...

somewhere I have a part roll of carpet protector film. If you stuck a sheet of that on just bigger than the sign, it would be simple to remove and re-stick to a plastic sheet till needed again
