We are currently on route to Cornish Farm for our second trip away and hoping not to get snowed in

Tomorrow is DH birthday and we'd like to go for a leisurely and tasty lunch in Taunton. Can anybody recommend any good restaurants, any budget as long as they won't mind casual dress?

Thanks in advance.

we spent several years in Williton near Taunton and we alway reckoned that the 'Castle Hotel' on the dual carriageway from town centre toward B&Q, Safeways and the M5 motorway was pretty good but a bit pricey.

On the other side of town at the 'Silk Mills Flyover' roundabout on the corner of the Minehead road there was a superr pub with a very good reputation.

Eddie at Van Bitz would be the one to ask when you get to Cornish Farm.

Lovely site and we often walk into Taunton via the footpath. (can cycle as well). enjoy yourselves.

Thanks for the suggestions we will have a look at Brazz. We'll Eddie too if we see him when we leave the van.

Lovely site, we've settled in nicely. Just hope the snow misses us!

Brazz is nice if a bit posh canteenie..... its owned by the Castle hotel which is very very classy... On East Reach in Taunton is a little place called Jenny at Tristans, lovely atmosphere and great food.... I would go there..... :thumb:

Thanks again for all your suggestions. Jennys not open for lunch so we went to Sanctuary on Eddie's recommendation and had a delicious meal in great surroundings. Would highly recommend it.
