Hi all
So I have a Swift with a Nord NE183-mate control panel. returning home we developed a problem, I have trouble-shot, I know the problem, but not the cause, as to whether it is the control panel/control fuse box, or somewhere before, so before I send it odd to Apuljacks I am hoping someone can help!

Please read carefully, I will explain the best I can.

So returning home after a trip we were emptying the van, step was down (electric step) all of a sudden the step came up on its own, then down then up etc, then stayed in the up position, it won't go down with the button. I am pretty clued up with this stuff as my work involves mechanics and electronics.

After checking all the fuses and power etc that side was ok. The control panel will switch on and off, I can scroll through and see voltages and water levels etc, however, I can't swap between leisure and cab battery, water pump won't switch on, neither will the outside light or the inside light switches, in fact the only one working is the courtesy door entrance light which I have circled in red.

Anyone with a bit of knowledge may have already realised that the control panel is operating as if the engine ignition is ON all the time, so this is the problem, for some reason the control panel/fuse box control unit thinks that the ignition is on, so making the water pump, interior lights etc inoperable, just leaving the entry light which works from the key fob, control panel and when the engine ignition is on.

Thats the troubleshooting done! But where does the problem lie? Relay on the fuse box board? A relay before?

I can remove the unit and send to be tested and repaired at Apuljacks, however it isn't cheap to receive it back and still have the problem because of maybe a relay before (if there is one)

And yes I have done the obvious in resetting the CP by unplugging! Please has anyone had this problem or aware of it? Help would be much appreciated!

Problem sorted! With a massive massive thank you to the extremely knowledgeable Paul at http://www.apuljackengineering.co.uk
I just wasn’t convinced it was the fuse box, so a chat with Paul and he gave me 2 reasons that could cause the fault I was getting, so basically an unused feed from the fuse box that is used if you have a tow bar had a short somewhere, removing this connection solved the problem! Now out of curiosity I will trace the wire the see how the problem was caused! Thank again Paul, and I would highly recommend them for any repairs to your panels.
