Yet again increases from the Caravan and Motorhome Club 😒
Storage Renewal this year has gone up £60 to £810 per year where I store it outside
The previous years it has been £50 per year increase
Unfortunately no where else within reasonable distance - and my drive not suitable

That's extortionate compared to mine. Unless it is indoors and heated

£650 indoors in a heated barn on a farm here in West Lancashire. Cash, no receipt, but “I’ll put it in the book.”

So it's gone up by 8%? 🙄

If I couldn't store at home I'd move house. 1st thing I always looked at. Garaging & vehicle parking off road. House could always be altered to suit.
gus-lopez ... I said same ages ago on a similar thread and was basically ridiculed by some on here.🤣

A lot does depend on where you live in the country.
Mine is stored in a gold cassoa site located in Grimsby , hard standing, CCTV, fob entry, wash bay, run by a family business.
They charge £42 / month. I've been expecting an increase for the past two years.
Maybe this coming year now, having posted this.

Blimey. I pay less than a quid a day! I guess that makes up for the 77p EHU.

I had a brief thought of moving !
I should have purchased a smaller Van and have a better chance of fitting on drive
I can - and do park across the front of house for short periods - To load/unload. Prep for trips etc
I block out all light to two rooms at the front of the house though - but for short temporary moments its doable
Plus the gap is about the width of the van so NS mirror must be folded so people don't walk into it on the pavement

£450 for me with water. 2 coded security gates. Access 24hrs a day. 9 miles from home.
Plus £300 for a 2nd spot directly behind the MH for my car trailer that if i wanted i could also leave a car on the trailer at no extra cost.
Where, Tarporley Cheshire.

Wow! Ours is a CASSOA Gold , was 77.50, pm just had increase to 84.00! Stored outside on a crappy piece of ground but I could not find any space elsewhere that wasn't miles away so no real choice. I am constantly badgering a poor guy who has a great storage facility nearby but as it is so good he has a wait list as long as his arm! I would definately store at home but driveway too narrow and can't be widened and only bought house 18months ago before we got bigger MH. Our VW camper was fine on it. It's needs must rather than preference sadly.

So do they carry insurance and how secure?

One reason we have a 5.4 net van is it easily fits on the drive and park at the front of the house in the road.

Used to pay £35 a month when we had a bigger motorhome and we hadn't sorted front of house so PVC will fit. Another place down the road (outside storage) charges £63 per month up to 7.4m, then £87 up to 9.6m. Seems like a licence to print money! Having to van at the house is fantastic as we can use it as another car if we want to.

My insurance through Caravanguard covers it as it’s a declared storage location on the policy and it’s a lot more secure than the van sitting on my driveway. You have to arrange to pick-up/return as the substantial barn is locked and the farm has people working and living on site plus dogs, CCTV and gates.

Yep, rip off because it’s Kent. I pay £80 a month for a rough bit of ground, in the open, no power and a single tap that I can reach at a stretch of the hose, constantly having to wash the van due to the amount of trees and the dreaded green slime. Mind you, it’s 2 miles from home, access 24/7 and a saving of £20 a month over the last location, that was 17 miles away and a rubbish hole, with limited access.

Would love a warm, heated barn and power.

Have they got lots of empty spaces? If not then that appears to be the going rate for the area. I pay £660 p.a.

8% increase. Not that bad then.

I think that your stuck with whoever is nearby and if they have space.
A new one opened by us a few month back. It hold I would say about 100 vans. They have a waiting list of 93 after only a few months of opening. Just shy of £700 per annum. West Yorkshire . Our facility put it up by £130 last year to £700 for up to 8m van.
The bit I don't get that a caravan which takes up the same space is only £600 per annum.
I was looking to move with such a big increase but no room and big waiting lists up to 20 miles from us.

While I understand your logic, and I had that thought myself initially, its a said state of affairs when we can say '8% thats not bad then' !!!

Your right - There are a few places that want circa £600/£700 in the area
But spaces are limited and possibly less secure. Also no closer to me or a little further than I would like so not worth the move
Im just having a moan !!!! :)

My 6m motorhome is in a Cassoa platinum site in Cardiff, £145 per quarter, £580 per year.
All facilities on site.

£620 per year for CASSOA platinum storage site. Services include gas exchange, black waste disposal (cassette only), van washing (charged) and onsite hab check/servicing (charged). Vehicles tracked in and out automatically. I do have plenty of room on the drive and the insurance difference was only £15, however, wife thinks its very common to have a van or caravan parked outside your house, even though you cannot see our house from the road and the road itself is only a minor no through road. £620 cheap enough to keep the peace. Back to the OP, £820 sounds expensive, however, do not know if there are other benefits of using club site for storage

Anything CAMC related is expensive.
