Hi all
Heading down to measham auctions on Thursday. anybody know any free stop overs around the area

Couple of big lay-bys on the left side of Tamworth Road just off J11 of M42 as. You approach, Used by truckers as they travel to auctions. There is also a mobile cafe there.

Couple on B5493 of J11 but very close to the road, no verge between

Big one on A444 between J11 and A5 bit further afield but quieter

No idea if this would be any good but lorries and vans often park up on the side of the road at McDonalds just outside Ashby/J13 m42.

It's a dead end but there's a hotel at the end of the road.

Thinking about it there are also a couple of large lay-bys not far from the McDonalds on the Ashby by-pass (A511). If you check google maps they are between McD's and the Boundary roundabout. Not sure if you get boy racers up and down the by-pass overnight though.

Or as jhorsf suggested conkers c&cc site is good, there's also a cl just off the by pass nr Boundary but we haven't stayed there
