Was there this weekend to watch the rugby .... stayed at Bath Marina 👍 Its not cheap (c. £30 a night including 16 A electricity) but the park and ride into Bath is literally over the road, and the Boathouse pub is ok and very close by so its worth it. Toilets and showers aren't the greatest but I tend to use the van.

CAMC CL Bicknam. We stayed there a month ago for a couple of nights. Fairly basic but 45 mins walk into Bath. Bus stops outside if you don't want to walk. Organic fruit and veg and free range eggs for sale at the shop. We would certainly go back.

Bath Penn Hill CL Site
Have stayed at the Marina and would reiterate what others have said.

As above - Bath Marina is really the only place, and watch out for the CAZ if you’re over 3.5 tonne.

We live nearby. As said, the Marina site is the only option if you want to see the city. If you are over 3500kg’s you must avoid the LEZ as its £100 per day!!

Avoiding the LEZ is easy as long as you come into Bath from the west side. i.e. from Bristol direction.

We are travelling from Stratford upon Avon.
I put my reg in for gov charge to see price and it comes up as an heavy goods vehicle should it not say motorhome?

I don’t know how they rate motorhome, but my Hymer also comes up hgv.
Just keep out of it.
Route your way into Bath around the Bristol ring road from either the M32 if on the motorway, or, if coming down the A46, turn left onto the A420 to Warmley and join the ring road there to get on the A4 towards Bath. The Marina site is on the western outskirts on Bath.

The Bicknam (Penn Hill CL) I referred to is outside of the LEZ. If you approach from the west you don't go through Bath. The owner of the site sent us info on the route to take. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the city and will certainly be returning.

We stayed at a CL at Box Hill, 5 min walk downhill to main road and bus into Bath (every 30 mins, use Google maps for bus times), then taxi back. When we went the only P&R without height restrictions was Lansdowne, just north of Bath.

Not sure that is correct for all motorhomes over 3500kg. According to the government's LEZ website our 2015 Hymer with a MAM of 4500kg is allowed in with no charge.

I stayed at Bath Marina a couple of months ago and on booking, they gave me directions to avoid the LEZ. No problem and easy to follow. I walked into town and back along the riverside path.

Do they allow overnighting?

And if you need a Covid jab they do it next door at the Racecourse! 😂

Have a lovely time. If you have your swimming cozzy and a small fortune in your pocket, you can go into the Thermae Spa open air rooftop pool.

The Jane Austen Centre do a nice afternoon tea.

Been all over carpark with a fine tooth comb and no signs saying no overnight stops and no gates on carpark
Looking on street view there was a sign at the entrance saying no overnighting amongst other things. Mind you there the same views showed some travellers caravans complete with generators.
