Today has been a day of discovery with the MH, found a Carbon monoxide detector clipped in the electrics distribution cupboard, now in the bedroom where it may detect and we will hear it.
Then seen a post today about someone fitting air suspension kit and the discussion about has taught me that what I have is a dual gauge split system with compressor that is there to assist the rear springs not as I thought to help level/stiffen suspension up so as not to rock about, still got no idea as to what to set it to apart from a sticker saying max pressure 7 BAR so still learning on that one.
Next walking around the MH I have already found 2 Bullfinch outlets one water (plus found a shower hose in the garage) and one gas (with a plug and Barbeque ordered) then I put a new Propane sticker on the gas compartment that had faded and peeled and back round the other side near the fridge vents I see a small cover on lifting it I find 2 TV aerial sockets which would explain the extra wire in the Status TV cupboard, best get a long coax cable sorted as I have read that some sites have TV hookup as well as electric, not found one yet but early days.
The MH came with an extensive amount of paperwork and manuals barring the AIr suspension or TV set up.
I wonder what tomorrow will bring, trying to get it all sorted before our first proper break at Whitby first weekend July

Sound s like a treasure hunt. Keep going cos you never know what you’ll find but I’m impressed as to what you have found thus far 😄

Sounds like you are having fun!

Re: semi air suspension.
We have semi air on the rear axle, with separate left/right gauges and a compressor. The compressor doesn't let us go above 3.5 bar, but I normally travel with it at about 1.5 bar. We weigh 3500kg.

I have found that semi air has done three things for our bus.
  • Firstly, we run pretty heavy. The air raises up the back and stops the bump stops crashing down onto the chassis when we go over those awful concrete sections of motorway.
  • Secondly, on full, it lifts up the back by about five inches, which makes getting on to a ferry ramp less of a trial, as we have a tow bar fitted.
  • Thirdly and best of all, the ride is massively improved. The bus feels so much more grounded. Totally brilliant investment as far as I am concerned.

2.5 -3 bar is my standard running pressure depending on road type.

Excellent and I can imagine your excitement, keep us posted with it all 👍🏻

So todays poser, a 2 pin socket that looks like it had a a flappy cover on once, on testing it is 12 volt, whats it for? the other outlets are the water filler and a Bullfinch gas outlet for Barbeque etc. so why is it there?

It’s for motorhomers who wish they still had a caravan 😂😂.
It’s for a whale pump to pump water from your aquaroll but as pointed out to me when I got my aquaroll , a motorhome has wheels and an engine and can be driven to a tap 😂

It's for plugging in a submersible pump to drop in a water barrel for filling the tank.

Ah not needed then, as Swifter says its on wheels plus I have a 25 foot hose in garage :)
