Not on the ferry until Feb 1 but trying to start the form early but it will not let me, I get the email with the link and I put the passport number and code in but it comes up with the 48 hour rule.
Anyone had this problem or is it my computer skills or lack off.

That's all you can ( pre-register ) until 48Hr before departure...
You are using the Ferry specific form ?

Exactly on the 48hours before you will be able to access the form. I was very concerned about doing it as heard all sorts of horror stories, I even phoned BF as thought something was wrong that I couldn’t get any further but no, Patience needed! In fact it was simple, just take your time and read each section. My QR code popped into my in box before I had started the form for my husband. Really relieved. Some friends of ours started their form at same time but for some unknown reason the e mail with QR code took an hour to arrive.

It isn’t a problem; it’s supposed to be like that.

However, be aware that the timeframe is 48hrs before ARRIVAL in Spain not 48hrs prior to UK departure. This makes it a relatively small window of opportunity.

Assuming????? you are on BF from Portsmouth, save yourself from self flagellation
and get to the Terminal in plenty of time and take your evidence and Passports to the
lovely peeps in there.

They saved me from the Funny Farm when I couldn't get the Bl**dy thing to accept
the answers.

The time scale is the problem as the sailing is 30 hours leaving at 9 am and we will travel down the night before which is 6 hours so that’s takes up most of the time.

Our sailing was 34Hrs and 5 Hrs to travel down... Still 9 hours within the 48Hrs...

It also advises you that you that you can fill in all the form except the health declaration before the 48 hours.

Have to be there no later than 7.30 am so means setting off at 1am, won’t be doing that as I might fall askeep at the wheel.

The requirement is the requirement and it’s up to you to comply with the requirements. On my last (motorbike) trip we had to call into the motorway services en-route to the ferry in order to complete the form within the required timescales. It’s entirely doable.

Travel down and instead of parking up, go down to the ferry terminal, do the business and then park up at Port Solent five mins down the road. Job done.

how do you enter your UK Covid cert - do you take a photo or type in the cert identifier?

We just did ours yesterday and it wouldnt validate with the pdf upload of the nhs pass
Had to use a screenshot jpg file of the passes and then it was ok.
