Chausson
Hi all. We are new to motorhoming having bought our Chausson best of 10 in summer last year. Despite draining down the system for the winter we took it to the witterings this weekend as the shower tap was making a funny noise like something burst. After draining all the water out, I took the shower cover off and can see the shower tap has broken and told I need a replacement. Is this something we can do ourselves or do we seek help? If anyone could point me in the right direction I would really appreciate it!!!

As you can get at the rear of the tap it should be easy to replace. If it's a Reich tap there will be a blue or green pin that releases the tails.

After draining down it is important with mixer taps to leave them open in the central position.

On closer look It looks like the 90 degree bends are molded into the main body which looks like plastic. If so a complete new assembly is needed including hot and cold pipe tails.

Yes they are molded into it. Is there an example online of the tap + tails I need to buy?

Had same thing happen to me one year, as I forgot to remove and drain the shower hose. Water froze, expanded and split the mixer tap, although different style to yours. Sourced my replacement here…
