I can’t read the speedo in 2019 fiat Ducato I’ve read some where about getting the dials swapped to white anyone care to explain what’s involved ,where to get parts and will it affect the warranty ?
Cheers

have you thought of getting a head up display (HUD) that puts the info you want onto the windscreen, you dont need to keep looking down at the speedo.

lots on ebay for you look at

really simple to fit. just connect to the diagnostic port and route the cable. took me 10 minutes in total to fit. mine if you look on youtube i am sure you will see quite a few of them.

if you need to use the diagnostic port for any other reason, just unplug the HUD

i havent tried mine in bright sunshine yet but so far its easier and clearer then looking down and trying to work out speed in kilometres - you can set the HUD to display more than just speed ...

Download an app on your phone, or fleabay have standalone GPS speedos with or without headsup. Thats what I have nice big numbers in digital can't go wrong.

I use Waze on my phone, reasonable navigation and shows speed and speed limit. I also use Apple CarPlay to display it all on the radio head unit but this involves having the right sort of radio.

We gave up like most trying to read the Fiat Speedo, so now we use the Garmin sat Nav as that dings when over the speed limit set to 1 MPH over (must change to 5 over as its bloody annoying).
I must also try to see if I can get the speed from the Phone GPS shown on the Pioneer Apple Car Play head unit also, but we use that for playing Deezer & showing Google maps, as going on a journey without being taken up a narrow road or into a field would make a journey so monotonous, would it?

My 2017 fiat speedo is rubbish when it comes to reading kmh, the sat nav speedo is small so needs a good staring at so not the best. Have tried various speedo apps on a smart phone but they are limited and signal varies enormously. Settled for a OBD11 port one and it’s brilliant even in bright sunshine so easy to read with the briefest of glances, it does have hud but never tried it as I tend to avoid driving abroad in the dark that’s wine time. ???

Do either of you peeps with the hud devices from ebay have an issue with them when on 240v hook up?
I bought one and it works fine until I plug into the mains when it goes through a continual reboot process. I suspect the obd port isnt turning off like it does normally when not on charge and this is confusing the hud.

Tend to pull the plug out of the unit when on ehu saves the annoying beeps when it reboots no big deal

OK yes its no big deal. Just wanted to know if it was just me.
Otherwise a great improvement because the standard speedo is ridiculous.

Good piece of tech haven’t worked out how to change to kmh but then again not really played with it the instructions translated from Chinese are challenging ???

The Can bus wakes up at preset interval and checks for activity even if it does not get a wake up signal like when you unlock the doors, if it receives no activity on the bus it goes back to sleep after about 10 to 20 mins, the additional speedos are read only for the most part so do not stop the can bus going back to sleep.
