I posted on another thread about how impressed i was with the Huawei B535-232 which bought recently to possible use as a home mifi system.
As we are away in Wyre Piddle at the moment I thought id do some speed testing against the Teltonika RUT590. The test were carried out at between 15:00 & 15:30 on 22/8/2023.
The tests were carried out using Vodafone and 3 sims. I ran tests using the routers own antenna and then plugged into a Poynting MIMO-3-V2-12 antenna. I am sure testing again at different times would throw up different speeds, but it was interesting to see how the two routers performed with and without an antenna.
The tests using the router antenna were carried out with the router sat on the motorhome dining table.
I also did a test of my iphone with the Vodafone sim as a reference. The first number is the download speed and the second is the upload.
I am still impressed with the Huawei router which I will hard wire into the MH and remove the Teltonika one. The external antenna reduced download speeds in some cases significantly, though it performed a lot better on the upload in two out of 4 tests.
edit. For some reason when I drafted this, the results were tabulated, however when i post it they are not. Ill stick it in an excel table form when I get home next week. I dont have excel or word on my van laptop.
Iphone( Vodafone) MH Table - On Roof
25mbs/0.9 mbs - 39mbs/ 1.7mbs
Huawei B535-232 MH Table - Ext Antenna
Vodafone 55mbs/4.4mbs - 40mbs/ 9 mbs

Teltonika RUT590 MH Table - Ext Antenna
Vodafone 24mbs/ 5mbs - 7mbs/2.5mbs
