Ooh, you cynic you!I'll bet it's disregarded as a defence if you do exceed the official limit.
Looks to me more of a way to encourage speeding so they can rake in a few more Euros!
You can go online at Trafico & they give the location of all fixed speed cameras in Spain , where located & the speed at which they are set. The ones locally on the autovia before the tunnels used to be set at 141km/h for the 120 limit. Also up to 151km/h in a 120 limit is only a 100€ fine (reduced 50% for residents ) & no points .I'll bet it's disregarded as a defence if you do exceed the official limit.

There used to be a Gatso, just North of Berwick, which we reckon was set down to a tad over 40. to catch the HGV`s exceeding the (Then) Limit. It flashed me Going North in the R-V. perhaps assuming I was an LGV?. never heard anything obviously. I was also rumoured that one on the A15 just before Scampton was similarly adjusted too?. Those BTW have been replaced by a section of "average speed" devices.Got snapped once 74 on A1 at 3.00am, so beware anything over the posted limit is enforceable
