Hmmm, tempting….🤔

I just might worry though at nearly 5yrs old they might have hardened a little and I’ll be in the same boat…🤔
Well fwiw I bought em in 21 and they’ve been stored out of the sun, but I get your point. I’ve even thought about shelling out £600 for some more rated wheels to use em in winter but I never got round to it, I’ve more pressing purchases coming up next month🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️😁😁😁

FUNSTER in a PVC
I recently changed (due to age) from Continental Vanco Campers to Continental Van Contact Four Seasons. The result is a huge improvement in ride quality with a bonus that they have significantly better grip on grass.

My van is also a 6m Ducato PVC.
Same as mine, great tyres, mine have done 28,000 miles and front have 3.5mm and rear 4.3mm and the ride is good.

Thanks. Sorry, I missed that one. It was buried out of sequence in the Toyo website list.... :tmi:

What is the wear like on the Toyo Observe Van tyres? Any long term experience?

Fronts down to 3mm at 15k, rears 7mm compared to the Michelin campers which after 25k were at 4mm on the front and 4.5 on the rear. Toyo's are £80 or more cheaper per corner.

I’ve doe the same on our 6.4m Maxi chassis with the same result. What pressures are you using?

Our van left the factory with Continental 215/70/15 CP Vanco Camper tyres and the ride was crash bang over poor surfaces so I fitted Dunlop air to the rear straight away which made a big improvement to stability and the ride was much better, by last year the original tyres had covered 29k with 4/5 mm tread left.
The tyres were replaced with Hankook Vantra LT 225/70/15 RA18 112/110s
Uprating the tyre size from 215 to 225 has increased the rear axle capacity from 2000kg to 2240kg.
Fronts at 60psi and rears at 65psi rear airbags at 35psi.
Massive improvement in comfort and noise, wish I’d changed from Camper tyres years ago !
I carry a spare wheel but if I needed a tyre quick Hankooks are usually easy to find.

Do you think you would have fitted the Dunlop air to the rear if you had changed from the camper tyres first?

Yes I’m glad I fitted the air suspension first. This is our first motorhome and the original tyres had done 6k in just under 3yrs and I didn’t realise how much difference changing the CP tyres to normal van would make, in hindsight I wish I’d fitted the Hankook tyres at the same time as the Dunlop air.
If and when we change the van I’ll fit airbags and normal tyres straight away.

Beltie. A misunderstanding there. I'm ditching the Michelin Agilis CP for Michelin CrossClimate Campers. Confusingly the names are very similar but I think the CrossClimate Campers are much better.
No misunderstanding, I've done exactly the same as you. I thought that Michelin had kept the Agilis brand as part of the name for the Cross Climate Campers. Clearly I was wrong, and it's too wet here to go out and check!

As Two On Tour said Hankook Vantra we find them very quiet .
Have recently fitted Vanco all round but it does bang and crash. Thinking of trying Hancook Vantra on rear to see if it helps to quiet down.
Any thoughts appreciated

We have them fitted front and rear Carthago 3850 kg no crashing on rear, only occasionally when you can't avoid huge potholes.
I noticed that new Mercedes cars and performance Seat cars have Hankook tyres.

I don't think sticking to a brand is that useful. Michelin have some of the best tyres in the world... and they also have Agilis Campers. 🤢

Yes agreed but I was just pointing out to others that the brand was well respected and used as a premium tyre for Mercedes and Seat.
Whether the Vantra range are any good, time will tell.
