looking at getting a Spain/Euro lpg adapter and found 2 sorts.
I would like to know why one looks likes it’s got a valve in it and one doesn’t.
Non of my others have valve.

it seems theres been a change

this is from the gasit web site

Please note that whilst this is the new fill adaptor, you still might need to have the other European adaptors to fill up on the way into Spain and Portugal whilst the countries updates all their Autogas fill guns to the new type.

I popped into a Motorhome dealer near Cherbourg, just to have a look and had to pick myself up of the floor- €52 for a Euro adapter- I think I will go for a £10 one when I get back to uk.

One for sale seconhand on here under a different thread

The difference is one has a non return valve.
You need the one without the valve as your inlet has a non return valve.
Anyone that has one with the valve it is best to remove the valve to prevent filling problems.

We were charged €35 in Portugal from a dealer as we were having problems with the one with return valve at pumps, didn’t know it was possible just to remove the valve.

Just knock it out with a screwdriver or drill it out.:ROFLMAO:

Does anyone know what the problem is with the older adapter with the valve?
I've used mine twice and its been ok but that was a while ago.
Haven't seen any reports of anyone else having problems on any forums but might have missed it.

Hi Manic,
I am the one offering the Motorhome Clearout.
I have an adaptor for Spain and Portugal which I used successfully in December. Also, for sale, a 'Pancake' type for use in France.
12.50 pounds each. Collect from Stockport.
Regards
Brian
