Other Information:

Manilva is situated as a base from which you can explore Andalucía, with its picturesque white towns and villages nestling in the region’s mountains, to its historic cities such as Seville, Malaga, Granada and Cordoba. Just a short hop across the Strait of Gibraltar from continental Africa, namely Ceuta and Morocco. Gibraltar (duty free) is a 30 minute drive. The nearest village is Manilva or the town of Puerto de la Duquesa both a few minutes' walk or cycle along the beach front.

Price negotiated is €14 (Euro) a day per van, to include 1 or 2 people and includes electricity (16amp) and wifi. A calendar month can be negotiated once you are there if you so wish. A figure of €360 has been mentioned but electric will then be charged separately, so that will not be far off the €14 anyway. We have negotiated €1.50 for dogs (half price, per day) for those staying for the full period.

* This is a pop 'in - out meeting.' there are no formal arrangements or travel plans. There is no commitment to stay the whole 3 weeks people can arrive at any point and stay as long or as short as they like. We are setting these weeks as a guideline to say that's when we are having the "do". Hopefully as we get nearer the time we can plan things to make sure everyone is fitted in. However, they are selling pitches for long stayers, so it cannot be ruled out that restriction on numbers will be applied. As already mentioned, we have an allocation of 30 spaces at present. Naturally, you can also come and go when you want and pay the normal site rates at times / dates that suit you subject to their availability in the event they do not agree to increase the numbers. Tonka and Mr Motorhome are in contact with Rudi (site manager) and are keeping him informed.

There is no commitment and no deposit, this is all being arranged with goodwill.

Note: we have been told the weekend of 28th Feb 2014 is 'Andalucía Day' a public holiday in this part of Spain (Malaga) and many sites will be very busy. This MotorhomeFUN gathering is to start on 5th - 25th March 2014 (three weeks)

You can visit the La Bella Vista web site HERE for more details regarding the facilities and services, or HERE for the campsite rules.

Co-ordinates are :> 36.346224,-5.236574 or Mapcode: (Spain) kv8.cnq or Gps: N36 20.771 W5 14.185

Looking forward to seeing you all there!

Please can anyone suggest a route /overnight stops from the French border through to Malaga bearing in mind the possibility of bad weather. We wish to try another route as we normally go via Barcelona or Zaracosa and would like to go this time via Madrid. Our preferences would be toll free and campsites (ACSI) or aires.
Have booked the ferry to Dunkirk late Feb so have just stared the planning. Oh one other thing - please can you give me advise on what is the best entry place to Spain for your suggestions.
Really looking forward to meeting up with everyone.

Invest in the book. " all the aires spain". BUT get latest version "3". Has several places listed and we just used those on our trip down. Try and do Madrid during the day so you can have a stop either side. Tolls would be best around the City and not expensive, I think we paid €5...

It's hard to give exact stops are people travel at different speed, some drive for a long time other short periods.. etc

My suggestion would be from France A63 (toll) from Bordeaux across Spanish border AP8 (Toll) to Burgos (ACSI), A1 to Arunjuez (ACSI) just south of Madrid, A1/A4 to Cordoba (ACSI) and A45 to Malaga. Only a couple of toll sections and train from Aranjuez to Madrid.
There are other ACSI sites around Madrid and i'm sure others will be along with different options.:thumb:

We are already confirmed 04th until 18th is it not possible for one of the Funsters confirmed for the last week to take our pitch when we leave [got to be back in Wales for the 25th] this would leave a space for someone from the reserve list, hope this makes sense

Owing to Gel having an accident, we wont be able to come to the shindig, she was only drinking WATER, would have been better if she was on the wine, she wouldn't have felt it so much, any rate she not allowed to walk on it for 6 weeks. You all have a good time.

What do we do when we arrive, do we just turn up at reception and say we are part of the Funsters? Should we phone them in advance? We intend arriving on the 5th, maybe a couple of days earlier, not decided yet.....Thanks.....Aud & Derek.

Arrive on the day and reception will have a list so they can make sure you get the special rate... No need to call..

My advise is DO NOT ARRIVE early...
1. You will be charged €26 a day if you can get onsite.
2. The weekend prior is a big regional public holiday in this area, Bellavista already have a Spanish rally group attending and it will be almost full.

If you want a free wildspot not far away then head for Benalmadena and there is a huge car park by the park... No facilities but 5 min walk to sea front. Bar in park has free wifi.. N 36.593048 W-4.532162
