We hear a lot about antisocial behaviour of motorhomers but the general public has more to answer for in my opinion.

Big parking area near the beach at Los Cocedores. Lots and lots of bins, big and small.
Wake up in the morning to find that one or more of the many (local) day trippers who turn up in cars has dumped all their rubbish on the ground, just a few feet away from said bins 😡

Visited a small pine forest near Burgos where there are dedicated parking areas (with bins).
Woke up in the morning and where there had been a car parked the evening before was a load of rubbish on the ground 😡

What is the matter with these lazy good for nothings, especially when visiting beauty spots? How do they think these places look so good to be worth visiting in the first place?

During our tour around Spain, we have seen this quite a few times, even when bins are readily available and yet it is the Motorhome owners who seem to get all the poor feedback and the bans ☹️

It happens all the time. Where I live there's a bridge over the canal. Both ends have a bin.

Theres always rubbish in the grass or bushes less than 3m from a bin. Usually beer cans or kids' sweet papers....

We were recently in Ambleside, and outside the shop were four teens having a coffee in cardboard cups, and when finished, left them on the wall, where they had been sitting, next to a rubbish bin! "There's a bin there, aren't you proud of your town"? Says I, only to be ignored as they shuffled away, as if I never existed!
It makes my blood boil when I see litter being left!!!

Gifted ...... need I say more?

I carry a litter picker in the van, I'm happy to say that, so far on our summer trip in Northern Spain, I haven't needed to use it.

I don't expect that to last for four months though.

Either they think that the locals will blame the motorhome that was parked there last night, as everyone knows how mucky we leave the places we’ve parked up, or they’re French 🤷🏼‍♂️

Truth is, we nearly all leave places cleaner so as not to be blamed.
