A number of solo travellers are having an informal get together from the 10th April next year on a caravan site at Garstang, Lancashire. The plan is to meet up and have a bar snack or similar and generally have a good time and get to know each other.
Any solos wanting to join us please feel free to make a booking direct with the site (details below) and ask to be pitched in with Funsters.
As the site is adjoining a marina there is the opportunity to hire a boat for up to 8 people, and this is something we can consider nearer the time if sufficient interest.
The site has good access and is only about 7 miles from junctions 32 and 33 on the M6.

I'll be booking this afternoon. Is anybody planning to do Chester Food and Drink or Peterborough Motor Home show as well?
 
I will definitely be going to Peterborough, but not sure about Chester - not sure I can leave elderly mother for 3 weekend on the trot!!
 
Paid my £21.75 deposit, will be arriving on the 10th and leaving on the 13th. I'm thinking more Peterborough than Chester as it will break up the trip home, probably Britstop between the two.

Hi Sandra, unfortunately I have heard from 'Trixie' and she won't be in a position to book anything until the new year as needs to sort out what is happening with grand kids and Easter school hols.
 
Oh thas a pity, hopefully she can add in later. I see Andys paid up now so at least that's another one :)

The max the boat holds is 8. Basically it is just a matter of dividing the hire cost between the number of people interested. A full day hire i.e. 9am to 4pm is currently £90. The boat can also be hired for half a day but this cannot be booked in advance and is subject to availability. I don't think Bronte will be interested in the boat as she has 2 dogs to consider.
 
I have a dog to consider too but depending on how many boats and dogs there are was hoping to take him on it if it was ok with others. He just goes and lies in the corner.
 
Whose actually all up for the boat? I think some are /are not.
 
I wouldn't think there should be a problem with your dog Sandra, but my sisters are a different kettle of fish! Neither of them like water!!

We booked direct with the site so as long as the site has room there is no cut off date.

There is no cut off date LilacMoss as this is an informal get together, basically if the site has space you can book right up to the actual day.

Hope you can make it, should be a good meet and the site is in a lovely position.
