Solar Prep?.. means?

My 2012 Chausson is described as being “Solar Prepared”

does any one know what this actually means ??

( obviously I am looking to self fit a solar) ?

Looked into this on my 2018 Chausson.

Wiring was hidden behind a secured panel however the general consensus was not to bother as the wiring wasnt up to much & wired through control unit would limit panel size.

Dealer confirmed this as did other funsters.

If you need solar wire direct through it's own controller?

If it is pre-wired eg, a Malibu van there will be 2 solar wires not connected near the leisure battery with + and - on them, the rest of the solar cables will be hidden and will emerge again under the fridge.
Really what they mean is 1/2 pre-wired ready to fit a solar panel.

If it is pre-wired, does that in any way mean it is standard equipment? After all the insurance 'modified' vehicle term is only partly true.
