Solar Panel Installation/Connection

I want to use a solar panel to keep the leisure battery topped up. Is it just a matter of arriving on-site, setting up the panel and attaching it to the leisure battery with crocodile clips? Surely nothing in life is that easy.

Most portable solar panels will have the controller as part of the panel, usually mounted on the panel underside. If so you can clip to the leisure battery terminals direct.

which panel is it, it will have to go through a controller of some sort as kannon Fodda said.
crocodile clips arent the best, would be better to permanently attach the cabless to the battery leading to mcu connectors and just plug these in when you need it
