Anyone solar panel controller experts around as need some advice please.
I installed new controller this year and I've only really seen it on full a couple of times.
Went up yesterday to check the van in storage and noticed it wasn't showing full or even 80%charge.
I checked the fuse and it's fine
The strange thing is with the fuse in it shows charge, with the fuse out is shows 80% charge
Confused.com
Anyone got any ideas?
Leisure batteries looked to be fully charged from main control panel.

Ours is the duo 250. The fuse disconnects the battery so you shouldn't really do that while the solar panels are connected.

Have you had much sun recently in Halifax? There not been much in South Yorkshire

How good/new are your batteries?

My van is up against the house, so it is in shadow most of the day. But I'm getting less than 3Ah charge from 180w panel on even clear days at the moment. That's not enough to keep the battery charged.

EDIT: Logged into the bluetooth and corrected the figures. Even lower than I thought!

What Voltage are you seeing at each battery (day and dark) I also have a Votronics duo with SB on trickle. The SB is being charged ok (my LB is is issolated (Lithium)).

We have a votronic duo 250, only see it on full or 80% when the sun is out. At the moment it’s on neither because there’s no sun even though we’re on EHU. I assume it’s the controller reading that gives me 80%, full etc. and it’s not affected by the EHU.

When we had a decent amount of sun it would always read 80%, full and then AES would come on, since the middle of Oct very rarely had it get to 80%. Doesn’t help we’re camped in a valley!

Interesting.... I thought the fuse disconnected the panel from controller.. Oh well maybe wrong again.😕😕

Have you tried disconnecting all the wires and then reconnecting back up starting with the battery connections?

Are you sure the four DIP switches in the lower right corner are set correctly? I can only see three, but those look incorrect. What type of leisure batteries do you have? What are the switches set to?

If the van is not being used and no power being drained then it should be at 100% regardless of sun or not
