I have a double socket under the table in my MoHo it looks like a domestic socket and I would like to replace it with a double with USB sockets. Is this a straightforward swop or do I need a special socket for the MoHo?

Straight forward swap. As it's down there it won't matter if it doesn't match the others.
Depending what's there now you may have to swap the back box as well..
Don't forget to unplug hookup before you start

That's fine, provided it really looks like a domestic one, rather than a motorhome (i.e. CBE) version.

I think you will find that the USB sockets will only work if you are on EHU. Why not just add one or more USB sockets connected to the leisure battery, so you can use them at any time, including while driving?

Is it a surface mounted domestic socket, or flush?
If surface mounted, I changed mine to double with USB from standard very easily.
Just removed front, having first isolated all power, undid the mains wires and refitted to new front and refitted to the mounting box.

And yes, as previously mentioned, it only works on EHU, as its a 240v domestic socket.

Do remember that the ones built into mains sockets are usually miserable lower power ones. No 30W PD here, and your phone will take all night to charge.

They both do the same thing, it's only cosmetic differences and possibly the back box.

They do the same thing, but you aren't going to replace CBEs with domestic sockets without the use of a saw!

Thanks I thought it might be as it is an add on

I think it is an old domestic one and the box is in the under sofa space. There is a single hidden in the top cupboard next to the bathroom wall (hairdryer)? Which matches
