I’m about to fit a Snipe 3r satellite to the roof of my van , has anyone fitted the base plate without using screws and just sikaflex it on .

Yes, I have fitted three sat dishes to different motorhomes we've had, but make sure you lay it on a decent thickness of adhesive. I used plastic spacers to make sure! You could also use tile spacers ? I also used black sika so it didn't go green and mouldy. Where we live and have our motorhome everything white turns green lol!

Fitted our Snipe 2 baseplate back in 2019 using only Sikaflex 252 as recommended by Sika during a telecall with them. Think this may now be discontinued though.
I know Lenny HB used 292i and I would have followed suit but couldn't find it readily available at the time but during the call with Sika they advised it was suitable but bit of overkill for the job.
Used a bit of scrap rubber gas hose cut into 4\5mm "washers" to give the appropriate spacing between the plate and the roof.
