I have an oven door similar to this in my van

As you can see the handle is at the top but the door is side hinged 🤷‍♂️
It didn't cause a problem until my partner hurt her back and now she cant pull the door open as a lot of effort is wasted due to the handle/hinge not being at either end
Has anyone swapped a side hinge door for a bottom hinged one...is it possible? Or has anyone changed the handle to a side one?

Could you put something round the handle at the right end to pull on so that you automatically use that rather than try to pull it open by the centre?

Had a thought ... have a look at handlebar extenders, I'm sure you could find something that you could fit at the opening side by clamping it to the existing handle, eg:

You could get one made at your local glass supplier .drilled to suit your hinges and side handle (y) (y)
