Though I love birds, RSB guy in this video is wetting himself in excitement but you cannot see the bird πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†πŸ˜†

its only short so enjoy

It’s sign of a keen birder when you can identify by sound? I love to hear the common quail calling but you very rarely see them the Corn Crake is a rare bird and anyone who’s hobby is birding would love to here a Corn Crake I’ve never heard one πŸ€”πŸ˜Š

I have heard them on Iona off Mull around 10 years ago and that was surreal 20 or 30 people stood at the edge of a field ,in daylight I may add, and all getting excited over hearing 3 or 4 of these birds calling.

We had them for years in a hay field beside the house, not nice to hear at 4am in the morning πŸ˜‚

Heard one on Barra a good few years ago.
There are some near to where I stay on Skye but I haven't heard them.
I think it's really cool.

There's no mistaking the sound. Here's one I managed to see as well as hear.

Thank you. I stayed at the Balranald campsite on North Uist in May 2017 and Corncrakes were everywhere. It was just a case of being patient enough until one showed itself.
